Not Fancy. Just Consistent.
Mike Torrance opened Grill House Bar in a building that used to be a dry cleaner. He kept the big front windows, ripped out everything else, and installed a used grill from a closed steakhouse in Parma. That grill's still in the kitchen.
First couple years were slow. What kept us going was doing the same thing every night — same butcher in Westlake, same rib recipe Carlos brought from his last job, same guys on the line. People in Lakewood noticed. Word got around.
We added the back room in 2015 for parties. Expanded the bar to twenty-two taps in 2019. The menu hasn't changed much since then, and that's on purpose.

House Ribs
Half rack, dry rub, Carlos's BBQ sauce, coleslaw, cornbread. Sticky in the right way.

Cooked Over Real Fire
Wood and charcoal — not a flat-top with grill marks painted on. Steaks get a hard sear. Ribs go low and slow on the smoker behind the building. Chicken gets a simple herb marinade; nothing complicated.
Produce from West Side Market twice a week. Buns from the bakery on Detroit Ave. We know where our food comes from because we've used the same suppliers for years.
Private Room & Catering
The Oakwood Room holds 40 seated, 55 standing. Separate entrance from the parking lot. Same tap list, projector for slideshows or games.
Off-site catering within 15 miles — wing trays, pulled pork, rib platters. Minimum $200. Pickup available for smaller orders with no delivery fee.
